"I run because I can. When I get tired, I remember those who can't run, what they'd give to have this simple gift I take for granted, and I run harder for them. I know they would do the same for me." ~Unknown author

Nutrition tips  Nutrition tips from Runner's World Magazine

Research says it is a fact...from Runner's World Magazine...

People who run more than 35 miles a week are 54 percent less likely to suffer age-related vision loss than those who cover 10 miles a week.

Runners who log a weekly run of 10 miles or more are 39 percent less likely to use high blood pressure meds and 34 percent less likely to need cholesterol meds compared to those who don't run farther than 3 miles.

College students who exercise at least 20 minutes 7 days a week have higher GPA's than those who are sedentary.

Running strengthens bones better than other aerobic activities, say University of Missouri researchers. They compared the bone density of runners and cyclists and found that 63 percent of cyclists had low bone density compared to to only 19 percent of runners.

After 2 cardio workouts and one strength training session a week, asthmatics reported less wheezing and shortness of breath.
